Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) will unveil his much-anticipated health care bill
Thursday afternoon with other Democratic leaders in the Capitol Visitor’s Center.
CORRECTION: Reid will unveil the bill tonight and then attend this rally Thursday to drum up support for his legislation (I conflated the two events in an earlier post).
Outside groups started spreading the word Wednesday afternoon that Reid will unveil the bill. The majority leader is walking fellow Democrats through the legislation during a caucus meeting Wednesday evening in the Capitol. Details should emerge from that session.
One notification for the unveiling read: "We wanted to spread the word about an exciting event happening tomorrow at the Capitol Visitor’s Center. Join Senator Reid and the Senate Democratic Leadership Team as they announce the Introduction of the Senate Health Insurance Reform bill.
Reid’s office confirmed the event in an e-mail.
