In accordance with the new Section 111 of the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007 (MMSEA) reporting rules, we are now required to have updated, accurate information (including Social Security Number, date of birth, and gender) for all individuals covered under HRA plans. This requirement obligates HRA administrators to collect more information about each participant, spouse and all eligible dependents.
Section 111 also requires eflexgroup, as your HRA administrator, to provide compliance reports to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMMS) to keep your plan in compliance and to avoid penalties of up to $1,000 per day of noncompliance per individual.
To meet these new requirements, we need your help. Please distribute the Section 111 enrollment form (link provided below) to all participating employees and ask them to complete the required information. You may then collect the completed forms and return them to us in one packet via fax or email. To ensure compliance with the new requirements, we’ll need the information returned by July 31, 2010
