House Small Business Hearing To Address the MLR’s Impact on Small Business Owners

The House Small Business Subcommittee on Investigations, Oversight and Regulations has scheduled a hearing for Thursday, December 15 at 10:00 a.m. EST entitled “New Medical Loss Ratios: Increasing Health Care Value or Just Eliminating Jobs?”

Witnesses scheduled to testify are:

  • Mitchell West, an insurance broker and owner of HealthChoiceOne in Greenwood Village, Colorado, who will be representing NAHU
  • Gary Livengood, principal, What a Stitch LLC in Mt. Airy, Maryland
  • Grace-Marie Turner, president, Galen Institute
  • Timothy Stoltzfus Jost, professor of law, Washington and Lee University College of Law, Lexington, Virginia
