The Senate Finance committee seems intent to do whatever they can to health premiums to increase! HSA/FSA/HRA are the best ways to finance major health expenses and save for the health related rainy day. I can just see my employers exiting in droves and pushing their employees onto the government roles. ____Want to improve health, incent people to have healthy behaviors. The plastic card in my wallet with Blue Cross on it doesn't keep me healthy…limiting my fast food, daily exercise, and all foods in moderation does. The plastic card is only a method to finance costs if I am in an accident or lose my health. Just as my car insurance will not cover an oil change, smog test, or new brakes, my health coverage will not cover maintenace costs on my body either. I don't see anyone reforming auto insurance to force the insurance companies to pay every little thing.____If benefits no longer have a tax benefit, if an employee can get government sponsored health care plans, employers will stop offering group benefits. The ranks of the underinsured (that is want nationalized care will have to be to be affordable) will swell.
